| Maharashtra Govt, has declared Gosavi/goswami
samaj as a backward community and
classified it as Nomadic Tribes. For this Maharashtra Govt. has issued
a Govt.resolution in which following
caste & sub caste members are included
1) Gosavi 2) Giri Gosavi 3) Bharti 4) Bharti Gosavi 5)Saraswati 6) Parwat
7)Sagar 8)Ban or Van9) Tirth 10) Asaram 11)Aaranya
12)Gharabari 13)Sanyasi 14)Nathpanthi Gosavi 15)Bava 16)Bairagi
17) Nathpathi Davari gosavi
- All above members are included in Nomadic Tribes
(1) or N. T (b) category
- There is 2.5% reservation available in all
Govt. & semi Govt. Organizations for Educational institutions
& Govt, service.
- To avail these reservations you have to first
obtain caste certificate from Dy. Collector of your native region
- There after the Caste Certificate has to be
get validated from scrutiny committee of social welfare Dept.
- It is generally done by your Employer
or the Educational institution where you got admission. or you can
yourself also apply for validation.
